Kristin is out of town this weekend visiting a friend, so it’s been a guy’s weekend. It’s been kind of rainy so we have been looking for indoor stuff to do so Jake can burn off some of his endless supply of energy. Saturday we went to the science center in Balboa Park, there is a cool 5 and under section there. Today we went to Chuck E. Cheese’s and the sun came out long enough for us to make a trip to the park near our house. Tomorrow we are going to Pump-it-up bounce house. This weekend has sure made me appreciate Kristin!

Another busy weekend… feeding ducks, YMCA Soccer, Navy airshow, riding bike around the lake, birthday party, playing at the park… trying to make up for being gone for 2 weeks : )

Boys are good. Kristin and I had a stomach bug, luckily not on the same day, we are better now. The weather has been awesome. We are really going to miss San Diego if we ever leave!

This is a beautiful sight to a parent... mostly because it means peace and quiet :)

We made it back from our trip. We had a lot of fun but are still screwed up on the time shift. The boys did great while we were gone. Jake asked for us a lot but was satisfied with “at work” answer. He was pretty excited to see us come home and keeps saying “Daddy, Mommy here now”. Tyler is doing great, still growing. He just turned 7 months and is in 12 month clothes.

Here are some picture I took right before we left and some from our trip.

Great weekend so far and we still have tomorrow. Jake has got his bike down. He has been improving a little every time but today it totally clicked. He can now coast with ease and is confident enough to put his feet up as he goes. We all went for a family walk around the lake to feed the ducks this morning and Jake rode his bike. It's funny seeing all the looks Jake got from people and quite a few commented on how impressed they were. This afternoon we practiced a little for when Jake goes to play T-ball next weekend. He’s already pretty good.

Tyler is doing fine and is over his cold. We started feeding him baby food. He does NOT like green beans! The look on his face is priceless. He loves his jumper though and goes like crazy when he’s in it. He is such a good little fella, you forget he is the room most of the time.

Green Beans, YUCK!

Fun weekend!

Saturday morning we started Jake in YMCA sports and he got to play soccer. Sunday we had his birthday party with all his little friends at the park near our house. We got a jumper and everyone had a great time. He has been using the potty really well and has had only one accident this week. Other good news is everyone is finally getting over their colds.

Happy New Year!
Jake is doing awesome with potty training. We’ve been doing it for a few days and he pretty much has it down. One down, one to go.

Jake is getting over a cold and poor little Tyler has a chest cold. We have him on breathing treatments. The little guy has been a good little trooper though, and it hasn’t affected his appetite. His last weigh in was at 16 pounds! Hard to believe he was a preemie.

We tried Jake out at a pre-school this week. He liked it a lot and will probably start in February or March.

Jake turned 3 today! He had a great birthday. We celebrated with some good friends and Grandma at the Corvette diner.

Jake and his little girlfriend Presley.

We think it's cute now, but in 13 years we going to have to make them clap their hands and whistle if we leave them alone in the room.

Tyler is just happy for this thumb
