I finally finished resurfacing the boys P-51. The rain had gotten to it and messed up the paint and plywood pretty bad. After 2 coats of sanding sealer, 2 coats of bondo, 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, and 4 coats of polycrylic… it should be able to withstand anything… well except for maybe two little boys. I also did up the one side for Tyler.

I start my new job tomorrow. It’s going to be weird not putting on a flight suit and driving to North Island.

The side letters are their initials and the tail numbers are their birthdays.

Jake has been a good boy and got enough stickers to go flying with me today.

They can grow up to be whatever they want… they can be fighter pilots, they can be airline pilots, they can be bush pilots, they can be fly crop duster or news helicopters… whatever they want : )

Still enjoying my time off between jobs. I start at Northrop Grumman doing Unmanned systems product training next Monday. I’ve been using this time off to work on my multi-engine pilot rating.
Took Jake to Supercross last weekend. He loved it. Tyler bumped his face at the playground today and now has a fat lip. Of course it had to happen on “Daddy's watch”.

Well looks like I have a job at Northrop Grumman as a Product Trainer. Pretty good job for my first one in the civil sector. I start end of Feb. It’s nice to have a few more weeks off. Been busy catching up on projects around the house and playing with the boys.

Bath time!

Well I just got done putting the toilet back together after fishing a toy screw driver out of the bottom of it. I am positive that will not be the last time I will be doing some plumbing work. To Jake’s credit, he told me what I was looking for, because he watched Tyler drop it in there.

We just enjoyed a relaxing weekend. My first week of retirement was nice. I have my first interview tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me!

Cousin Katie came and visited us.

My retirement ceremony was unforgettable. We had an awesome weekend with my family here in San Diego. We were so disappointed the weather didn’t cooperate so the rest of our family could make it down from Idaho. Hard to believe 20 years went by that fast. I’m sure the next 20 years will go by even faster.

Mommy is back from her business trip to Germany and her boys are VERY happy to get her back home. Fun long weekend. Getting all the last minute preparations for my retirement ceremony this Friday. Really looking forward to seeing all the family coming in from out of town.

Ty had a little trouble getting the last few golf fish out of the box

"Yep… I see some down there…"

Just… can’t… reach em’
