We had two birthday parties to go to this weekend. We went to Maddox's little sister Sofia's party on Saturday at the park by our old house. It was hot but the boys kept cool by splashing each other with water. Afterwards we went to a concert at the park by our house and then to our neighbor friends for a BBQ. Today we went to Christian's B-day party at a YMCA gymnasium. The boys had fun jumping on the trampolines and into the foam pit. Tyler was so wiped out, he fell asleep at 7 in his bean bag. He also might have been coming down from his 2 day sugar rush of cupcakes and birthday cake.

We had a great Labor Day weekend. We went to Red Robin to celebrated my birthday on Wednesday. Kristin arranged for some close friends to surprise me at home for cake & ice-cream afterwards. We had our new neighbor friends over Thursday evening while the mommies went to a PTA meeting. Jake had a great first week of school, he even got a special report for exhibiting good character.

Saturday we went to visit Jake's buddy Maddox at the pool at our old place, followed by a cul-de-sac party at the Ceglie's. Kristin and her friend Jamie took Jake to a Padre game today and then they went to a friend's house who just built a water slide into their pool. Fun weekend!

Jake started kindergarten this week. He really likes it... so far. His teacher lives right across the street from us so we told him to be good or she will come over and tell us.

Friday night we had some friends over so it was Jake, Ty and three little girls. Saturday we went to sushi for dinner (Jake likes the miso soup) and then saw the "Planes" movie. We all really liked it. Today Jake and I took and friend and his son flying to Palomar Airport to grab some lunch.

 



Tyler is getting used to pedaling. He has the balance but his legs are too short to reach the ground.

Kristin and I are feeling much better. Jake and I went to a Padres game Thursday night. His favorite thing about baseball games is getting cracker-jacks. Today we went to a friend's birthday at a three story indoor jungle gym which was a huge hit with the boys. Jake starts kindergarten on Wednesday.

Didn't do much this weekend. I'm getting over a sinus infection and a cold for Kristin. Tyler has regressed a bit at school since Jake left and started ESS. We thought he would be happy to not have big brother tackling him on the play ground anymore but maybe he misses not getting to see Jake throughout the day. It also could be some "terrible three's" kicking in. Kristin and I had to go in and meet with his teacher. To think he used to be the "good one"!
