We had a great time camping and riding in the desert with the Ames boys.

I took the boys to the track again Saturday. Tyler is getting more comfortable on his 150. Sunday, I took the boys and Dungey on a hike up to Potato-chip rock. It’s a really popular hike that is really crowded most of the time. Going during the Super-bowl is the best time since there is hardly anybody there. The boys and Dungey had fun bouldering on all the rocks. Dungey was following the boys hopping up and down the rocks like a Billy goat.

Started off the week with some hail one night and it stuck around till morning. Don’t see that very often here near San Diego. Saturday, one of Ty’s buddies in the neighborhood had a birthday party in the park that both the boys went to. Saturday evening, we had friends over for homemade pizza and to watch supercross. Sunday, Tyler got to try out his dirt bike at the track. He took to it pretty quickly and it fits him well. One of Jakes buddies in the neighborhood brought his electric bike to the track.

Tyler got a bigger dirt bike. I was going to wait till his birthday but found a great deal here in town I couldn’t pass up. He is ready for it now anyway. We got some much-needed rain Saturday. Jake met some friends at Balboa Park for a birthday party and they had a fun time mountain biking in the mud. Saturday night Jake’s racing buddy and his family came over to watch Supercross. Jake had a race Sunday. I thought it was going to be a mudder, but the track crew did a great job and it turned out awesome. Jake did really well, we need to work on his starts but he still got 5th overall out of 15. Tyler and Kristin went over to a neighbor’s house to watch the football playoffs and Tyler helped babysit their grandson.
Tyler has been enjoying working on his circuit board he got for Christmas
