Just getting some chores done around the house before we go on our trip to Cancun. It's been a while since we cleaned behind Jake's trophy stand. It was a neat opportunity to see how many he has won over the past 7 years. I'm thankful most races give out plaques instead of actual trophies or eventually we would need to add another room on to the house.
Tyler had an awesome 11th birthday. We celebrated his actual day on Wednesday with his favorite dinner of Wings-n-Things and then he blew out his candles on a monster donut! I took the boys to minibike ride night Thursday evening. Tyler had his birthday party with all his friends Saturday at the trampoline warehouse and then back to our house for pizza, cake and ice cream. Tyler and his friends like playing the video game “Among Us”, so we recreated a live version of the game in our house. They had a blast! Kristin even got him an "Among Us" cake! Jake raced Sunday and finished 1st and 3rd in his two classes. Tyler showed off his new gear and motorcycle graphics he got for his birthday on the practice track.
Happy 4th. I’m back from my work trip and it’s good to be home. Kristin was busy running the boys to soccer, sometimes twice a day, while I was gone. Now Tyler is back in summer ESS and Jake in summer school. The boys rode their bikes in our neighborhood 4th of July parade and then we watched fireworks at friends’ house who live near the high school.
I had a great Father’s Day just relaxing and taking care of a few projects at home. I got a smoker and used it to smoke a brisket that turned out amazing.
