Tyler got the Hand, Foot and Mouth Virus from daycare last week. On top of that he got a staph infection. He had a pretty bad rash around his mouth and some on his legs. It didn’t seem to affect him at all. He was in great spirits all weekend and it definitely didn’t affect his appetite. It’s starting to clear up and with the ointment Mommy got for him it should be all gone in a couple more days. The weather was great and Jake stayed pretty busy… bike riding, swimming at the pool, riding his motorcycle and going flying with Dad.

Jake did well on getting stickers for his star chart so he and I went to Lego Land on Saturday. Today I went for a mountain bike ride and this afternoon we went to the pool for a little while.

Very busy weekend. Saturday we went to three birthday parties. We had a nice Mothers day. We went for a bike around the lake to feed the ducks in the morning. For dinner I BBQ’ed some steak and steamed some shrimp.

Kristin is back from her couple day trip to Dallas to see some friend. The boys and I are still in good shape for the most part. Jake was riding his motorcycle and Ty ran to see him, Jake couldn’t stop fast enough and Ty took a handle bar to the fore head. He has a little goose egg between his eyes… another bump on Daddy’s watch! He’s a tough little fellow; he only cried for a few seconds and then kept on going. Other than that we had a good weekend. We sure do learn to appreciate Mommy when she is gone for a couple days.

We went to one of Jake’s little neighbor friends Star Wars birthday party at the park with Darth Vader on Saturday. Today Kristin took Jake and Ty to see little Presley’s dance recital and I went Mountain biking. Kristin heads to Dallas on Thursday to visit some girl friends over the weekend, so the boys and I will be holding down the fort.
