Kristin and I both had work trips this week, so Grandma Gretchen came down to stay with the boys. Jake and I camped with friends at Fox raceway and he raced his 85 for the first time over the weekend. He did well and is getting used to the bigger bike. He was the only kid that couldn’t reach the ground with both feet in his race. Kristin, Grandma and Tyler came up to watch some of his races. Tyler went to Lego Land with his Lego club on Sunday for a presentation of their project. Grandma headed back up to Idaho today. They boys had a great visit with her. They would all read together in bed with Dungey. Grandma has become pretty close with Dungey and we had to check her bag before she left to make sure she wasn’t trying to take him home with her.

Another rainy weekend which was pretty relaxing. Tyler has been having fun with his Lego club. Last week his group had a presentation. I was out of town last week but the boys and Kristin had a nice Valentine's day together and went out for sushi.

With all the rain we have gotten, the stream behind our house is running again. The boys and I took Dungey on a hike Saturday. Today Jake and I got a little track time at Barona. Jake even took my bike out for a little joy ride. We are excited Kristin got a new job she really wanted. I’ve been traveling during the week for work last week and for the next few weeks, so we have been pretty busy here.

Another camping trip to the desert this weekend! Great time with friends riding, shooting bb guns, and launching model rockets. We even got mommy out riding! It’s nice the boys are old enough to help out with post-camping cleanup. I put Tyler to work emptying the crapper!

Jake raced Supercross Futures at Angels Stadium in Anaheim. He did great, MUCH better than I thought he would do when I saw how technical and big the jumps were during track walk. He only had one small crash when he tried charging through the whoops like the pros. His wheels are half the size of theirs so that didn’t work out so well. Happy to report his bike and more importantly he made it home in one piece.

Tyler is the star student this week at school. He got to bring home the class mascot stuffed dog “Mudge”. He took it to the track to go dirt bike riding and to lunch with Presley.

The boys are back in school after their winter break and we are back into our routine. It was rainy on Saturday so we hung out around the house which was kinds of nice after the last few busy weeks. Our local track opened back up so Sunday Jake and I met some friends to go riding.
