Happy 4^th. I’m back from my work trip and it’s good to be home. Kristin was busy running the boys to soccer, sometimes twice a day, while I was gone. Now Tyler is back in summer ESS and Jake in summer school. The boys rode their bikes in our neighborhood 4^th of July parade and then we watched fireworks at friends’ house who live near the high school.

They fight like cats and dogs but sometimes they do love each other

 I had a great Father’s Day just relaxing and taking care of a few projects at home. I got a smoker and used it to smoke a brisket that turned out amazing.

Tyler ran over 150 miles this year in running club. We are extremely proud of him!

Jake raced Sunday and placed second in his two classes.

 We had a good trip back to Maryland for PapPap’s celebration of life. It was for a sad occasion but great to visit with family.

We had a nice long weekend. Jake’s buddy Hunter was in town and spent the night with us Friday and then Jake spent the night with him Sunday. They went mountain biking and riding pit bikes at his house. Tyler met up with friends at the trampoline warehouse Friday night and then he and I went riding Sunday.

I was looking forward to finally having a weekend with no motorcycles, but then we found out about a race at one of our favorite tracks just for kids and couldn’t pass it up. So, we met some friends there for some camping and racing. Great memories the boys will have for a lifetime!

Jake did Soccer try-out's for the Poway team. Out of 40 boys he got a call back for a second try-out. He was the only kid there with a motocross shirt on :)
