We had an awesome spring break vacation. We loaded up the camper and took a road trip to the Grand Canyon. We broke up the trip to see some sights along the way. Saturday, we stayed at Silverwood Lake just north of LA. We rode our bikes along the lake and the boys fished a little. The second day we stopped in Las Vegas. We caught a magic show at Planet Hollywood, had dinner at the Venetian, then rode the Sky Shot at the Stratosphere. The next day we camped by Lake Meade and took a tour of the Hoover Dam. On our way to the Canyon, we stopped at a little Zoo that you could drive thru. We camped in the south rim park Tuesday and Wednesday. We rode our bikes along the rim and the views were amazing. The last day we took a helicopter tour, which was really neat. Thursday, we camped in Blyth, CA on the Colorado river to break up the long drive home. Jake had a soccer tournament Saturday and a motocross race on Sunday.

Tyler went to his school spring dance. He looked awesome and had a great time. Jake is back with his club soccer team and they are finishing up their final tournament. Jake got to sub in for the goalie. Both boys have been working around the neighborhood pulling weeds and Tyler started collecting recycling from the neighbors. They will be ready to buy their first vehicle soon.  

Last weekend, Jake and I met some friends to go riding in the mountains outside San Diego. Tyler had his rugby end of year party on Thursday. You could tell that his coach really enjoyed having Tyler on the team. Tyler has an upcoming school dance that he wants to dress “Fancy” for, so Kristin took him out to get a nice sport coat. Jake and I did a 50-minute grand prix style race on Sunday. Jake did awesome of course and placed second out of 13 racers in his class.

Got the boys sports picks for this season and they turned out great! Tyler had his final Rugby match on Saturday, he wants to play again this summer. Jake had his second race on his 250 on Sunday and did awesome!
