We celebrated Tyler’s 15^th trip around the sun. We celebrated a couple days early since I had a work trip. Both boys are in Arizona for football camp this week.

Awesome summer so far. Went to Jake’s friend (Ellie) graduation party last weekend. We combined our family vacation this year with Jake’s race at Mammoth. Jake did amazing against a lot of tough competition from all over the west coast. Extremely proud of how well he did his first time there. Also cool he got to hang out with his good friend who moved there a few years ago. Tyler, Kristin and I got in some awesome biking around the town and the lakes. Both boys started summer football today.

Boys are out of school for the summer. Both did outstanding on their report cards! Jake got straight A’s and Tyler got all A’s except for one B in Spanish, which for how much he struggled with Spanish the last couple years, a B is like an A+++! Tyler promoted from middle school and will be in High School next year with Jake who will be a senior. I had a great Father’s Day. The boys and I went mountain biking in the morning, then they helped wash & wax our cars and Kristin grilled steaks for dinner.

The boys are doing great! Tyler received the highest academic award for maintaining a high GPA all throughout middle school. He has also been making incredible gains with his workouts. I kind of feel sorry for his football opponents this year. Jake has been doing flag football through school also getting ready for his upcoming season. He and his girlfriend, Sophia, stayed at his buddy’s house then went racing Sunday. Tyler went with his buddy on the 8^th grade harbor cruise. He said he had an awesome time!

I just got back from a work trip to Sicily. Before I left Jake did a fun local race with his friends. The boys are getting close to the end of the school year. Both are studying for finals. Hard to believe Jake will be a senior and Tyler will be a freshman. Jake spent last weekend visiting his girlfriend up in Ladera Ranch. Both boys have been working doing weeding and Tyler’s still doing great with his recycling.

Jake raced the last couple weekends and his girlfriend, Sophia, was able to camp with us. Last weekends was the final Mammoth qualifier and he did very well, especially with the temp getting up to 100°. Qualified in 3 additional classes while picking up some hardware along the way. Kristin joined us at the track on Mother’s Day (she is a GREAT MAMA!), and we got home that evening to celebrate it with Tyler as well. Both boys have been working hard doing yard work for people, and Tyler’s recycling business is going great!
