One more week with Mommy on a business trip, but we made it and it looks like we will have at least a couple weeks with both of us home. Took the boys to Perris Raceway for mini night. Fun riding under the lights during the week. Did some chores around the house Saturday morning (boys love weeding) and then they came to my work for an open house. They got to see the simulators I use to train the Navy with. Jake had a race Sunday. He did great and got two second places in his races. Kristin and Tyler had a fun day playing Lego’s and baking cookies.

I traveled for work earlier in the week. Kristin got the boys off to school/ESS on Wednesday, then she left for a business trip and I got home from mine that afternoon to pick them up, so we are making it work with help from some great friends/neighbors backing us up. Jake’s best buddy from school, Hunter, invited him to go to Disney World Tuesday, which he had a great time. Friday, we met some friends in Poway to get burgers. A guy was there singing and playing the guitar and Tyler asked him if he could play his guitar. The guy was great and had Tyler help him play his guitar. Then Tyler made up a song to sing in front of the whole crowd. I wish I had just a quarter of his confidence. Saturday, we rented a kayak and paddleboard from the base and took the trailer out to Fiesta Island to meet some friends and have fun in Mission Bay.

Doing the blog a little early as it’s my turn to go on a business trip tomorrow afternoon. I get back Wednesday afternoon and Kristin leaves for a business trip Wednesday morning. I had off Friday so I grabbed Jake after school he and I went surfing. I completely fixed up Tyler’s 65 for his birthday and took the boys riding today for the Fox raceway new kids track opening. They got free T-shirts and ice cream. Tyler looks great on his 65. Jake has his 100th race tomorrow. That's just over 400 race motos in five and a half years. I started keeping track for his entrance in KTM Jr's and just kept up with them.

We have a 9-year-old in the house! We celebrated Tyler’s birthday this weekend. Saturday, we took some of his friends and Jake to the trampoline park, then back to our house for swimming, pizza, cake and ice cream. Today we went to Red Robin for his birthday lunch. Earlier in the week on Monday, Tyler's soccer team won the championship for this season and Tyler was named player of the game for being "The WALL" at goalie. Jake had a camp-over at his school on Tuesday night. We had a great 4th. We celebrated with friends with a parade around the neighborhood, followed by some cornhole and then lit some fireworks off. Friday, I took the boys to the beach with their bogie boards.
