Nice long Memorial Day weekend. Jake and I tried out a new mountain biking spot Saturday. Tyler has been working pretty faithfully on his running and showing improvement. Saturday, we took a family hike around Poway Lake and that nigh we watched the first Top Gun movie, so the boys are up to speed when we go see it soon. I broke out a couple of my flight jackets for the boys to try on. Jake met some buddies for more mountain biking on Monday and we just relaxed around the house.

Tyler had a project for school to make a mini parade float about a US state of his choice. He chose Maryland, the state I am from. We worked on it together and it turned out great! Over the weekend we met friends to ride and camp at our local track. Jake race Sunday. It was a huge turnout, and Jake did awesome and got a 2^nd and 3^rd in his two classes.

Saturday, I took the boys on a bike ride around Mission Bay and we stopped by Belmont Park. The boys rode the Big Dipper rollercoaster and we played a round of mini-golf. Jake had a race on Sunday. Not a big turnout but still had fun.

Kristin started Mother’s Day weekend by having muffins with Tyler at his school Friday morning. That night the boys played in their flag football league championships. Both boys played great. Jake’s team was eliminated unfortunately but Jake played quarterback most of the game and threw two touch downs. Tyer did especially awesome, he got an interception and when I said he needed to get two flags for In-and -out, he got them the next two plays! Tyler’s team advances to the final play off’s next week. Saturday the boys and I met some friends at Cahuilla Creek for some riding. Jake had his first baby sitting gig Saturday evening. Sunday morning, we went for a 6 mile hike up to the top of Iron Mountain then took Kristin to one of her favorite spots for lunch.

The boys hung out with the Ames boys at their house Saturday. Sunday, I took the boys to Point Loma to take in the views and explore the tide pools.
