Another race weekend. We rode and camped at Cahuilla Creek. One of our neighbors came with us to ride and watch Jake race. Jake did great! He was the only kid on a 65 and only two kids on 85's to hit a big step-up jump. I was even too scared to jump it, but that is not saying much. Jake did have a pretty good crash on practice day on another part of the track and got a nice shiner which will be a pretty good story at school on Monday. Both boys had a blast playing with other kids and of course Tyler was the instant campsite Mayor and befriended EVERYONE! He even talked other kids into letting them use their electric trucks and snuggled with our neighbor Ren in the morning. They broke the mold with that one!
This is the only way we could keep him contained!

So Tyler has pretty much claimed the Kawai

 Jake sending it!

Nice Shiner!

Sorry I'm a little behind getting the pictures up this week. Jake had his last race of the series he is in on Saturday. He did great and finished the season in 2nd place. Tyler and our neighbor Trent came also to get some riding in. Saturday morning Jake and I paddled out to be with our friend Peggy as she spread her husband's ashes at sea. It was an honor to be a part of.

 Jake really digs Hawaiian food!

They even fight when they fold clothes!

Winding up the summer with one more camping trip to the beach. We went with the Ames Family and the boys had a great time with Nolan and Jarrett.

Busy week and weekend. Jake started 5th grade last Monday. I celebrated another birthday. Jake raced Saturday. Sunday,  took Dungey to the beach and then to a friend's house to swim and play on their trampoline. Sunday night we had homemade pizza at a neighbors. This morning Jake and I got some surfing in before we went to another friends to go swimming and BBQ. I need a day to recover from our weekend!
