It’s great to finally have Tyler home. He is an amazingly good baby. Only fusses a little when he’s wet or hungry. He had his first Dr’s appointment last week and he is doing great. He is back to his birth weight and then some and has already grown an inch and a half.

Pastor Martens from Richland, Washington just happened to be in San Diego this week and he came over and baptized Tyler. Pastor Martens married Kristin and I and also baptized Jake… Thanks again PM!

Jake is adjusting really well. He likes tickling his little brothers’ feet and loves to hold him.

TYLER IS HOME!!!!

We were finally able to bring him home this afternoon. A couple of the babies in the NICU had a cold and we were afraid he would have to stay a few more days. Luckily he was good and we were able to spring him out of there. Jake was happy to finally get to meet his little brother in person.

Everyone is doing well. Tyler is still in the NICU but hopefully we’ll get to bring him home early this week. All his tests have gone well so far, they just want to observe his breathing a little more. Jake is doing well, we have been keeping busy as you can see.

Mommy is home from the hospital. Unfortunately Tyler is still there : (

He is doing really well. He is eating really good and is able to eat as much as they want him to, also good news that Kristin is able to make enough for him. All the nurses love him in the NICU and gush over how cute he is. Still no real idea on when we can bring him home. He has to be able to gain weight consistently. He has lost a little weight but that is normal and they way he has been eating he should start packing it on here soon.

Jake is do well with all this. We have tried to keep his schedule as consistent as possible. Grandma has been a huge help with taking care of everybody. He has gotten to see his little brother through the window a couple times and wants to hold him. Jake and I went flying on Saturday, it was a little too close to his nap time and my co-pilot took a little siesta.

Visting Mommy in hospital

It's cute when he puts his hands in his pockets.

Just had a C-section, spent all night on a hospital gurney being woke up every 5 minutes, no make-up... and she's still beautiful!

Yes we decorated his basinet with airplanes and helicopters,
never to soon too get him started!
Tyler James VanSant is here!

Born July 7, at 11:25
5 lbs 10 oz, 18 inches

He and Kristin are doing fine. Kristin will be in the hospital until Saturday or Sunday. She is sore but recovering well. Tyler will probably be in the NICU for a couple weeks. He is doing really well. Breathing strong and heart rate is perfect. He is able to maintain his own temperature. Eyes are open and sucking on a pacifier like a champ.
