It's good to be home again, if only for a couple weeks. Jake was sitting outside waiting for me to get home when the airport shuttle dropped me off. It's amazing how much Tyler's speech has come in three weeks.  Jake lost his first tooth. It might be a while before his next tooth grows in since at his last dentist appointment the dentist told us that tooth has experienced some "trauma".

Jake is playing fall baseball on the Dodgers. It's a lot different swinging at pitches, but he has been getting some good hits. Tyler is off the training wheels for good. He needs a little help to get going but after that he's gone.

I head to Maryland again tomorrow for a few weeks. Luckily I was able to be here the whole weekend. It was pretty warm all weekend and our little pool has been great to cool off in. Friday was the country fair at Jake's School. The boys had a blast, but poor Kristin volunteered to work the corn-hole toss game the whole time. This morning I took Jake to a baseball clinic. He starts fall-ball next weekend. I took Tyler's training wheels off his bike for the first time. He got it immediately and was zipping around the cul-de-sac with no problem. I'll have to put them back on for a few more months just because his little legs can't quite reach the ground even with the seat as low as it is.

Boat race. Jake had the advantage with his slight height advantage and all the hot air he's full of.

McDonalds with Kyle after baseball practice.

Fun Labor Day weekend. I had off Friday so Ty and I grabbed a cake-pop and milk before pre-school. Friday we went to Red Robin for my birthday dinner. Saturday I took the boys to Home Depot. Ty made an airplane and Jake made a bug catcher... look out bugs! Saturday afternoon the boys went to a little neighbor friend's birthday/pool party. Sunday I took Jake to the track for a few hours to ride. Sunday night we had neighbor friends over for a bbq. Today we relaxed around the house in the morning, then I took the boys to Pump-it-up to burn up a little energy. It wore Tyler out and Jake didn't put up much of a fight going to bed.

 Happy 42

 Tyler just pushed Jake in!

Guess who was first in line to get a piece of cake!
(also, Kristin made the cake)

Jake jumped in from the ledge.
Tyler kept trying but never quite made it all the way.
"A" for effort thought!
