Jake is back from his trip to Idaho where he had an AWESOME time with his cousins and Grandma Gretchen. Tyler started 2nd grade last week. He wanted to wear his fedora hat the first day to look "fancy"! They broke the mold with him. Jake starts fifth grade this week. Friday he and I went surfing and indoor skydiving. We both had a blast. Saturday Jake had a race (did great) and Tyler did some riding. Tyler has gotten too big for his 50 but is warming up to move up to Jake's 65 next year by learning how to shift gears on Kristin's Kawasaki. Today the boys went to their friend Ellie's birthday/pool party.

A while ago Tyler got the idea he wanted to build the Titanic with Legos. His first attempt was truly “Titanic”, so much so he didn’t have enough Legos to finish it. So I helped him scale it down a little.

 Tyler and our neighbor Trent.

Tyler first in line for cake! (that Kristin made)

Jake is having the time of his life in Idaho with his cousins. In San Diego we went to the military base recreation area in town and camped Saturday night.

Tyler had a great soccer game last Monday and was awarded player of the game. Jake is done with summer school and I had off Friday so we went surfing. He's graduated from the foam board to my smaller fiberglass board. He likes it and may have caught the surfing bug. Jake had races Saturday and Sunday so we all camped at the track Saturday night. Jake did awesome and Tyler had fun riding too. Jake is off to Idaho for a week to see his Grandma Isakson and cousins.

Love living in California! We took a family camping trip to the beach at Camp Pendleton over the weekend.
