Doing well here in Poway California. Kristin is off for another work trip to Minneapolis where the lows with wind chill are down to -40.

Jake's best friend at school, Kyle, had a birthday party at Pump-It Up that both Jake and Ty went to on Saturday. Unfortunately Kyle got the flu the night before and couldn't make it to his own party :(
Sunday Jake and Noland did some laps at the track while the rest of us watched.

Kristin had another work trip to Toronto for a few days. Luckily she was here for Jake's lunch with Mommy at his school Monday before she left. I had both boys in bed with me Tues-Thurs. Jake snores and Tyler literately spins like a clock when he sleeps. Glad to have Kristin back as a bed partner and the boys back in their beds. Jake and I had off Friday so he and I went riding at the track. Friday night we went over to the Griecos' house for Vito's birthday and the boys had fun playing with Christian, Brendan and Morgan. Saturday we had soccer and Jake scored 5 goals, he's getting pretty good. Tyler still just likes to play under the parachute.
Saturday afternoon Jake and I went out east in the mountains to ride dirt bikes and camped overnight at the Coral Canyon off-highway vehicle area with friends. It was a little cold at night but we were bundled up pretty good.
Tyler and Mommy had their own fun having a McDonalds picnic at the park and riding the trolley train. I haven't gotten really good sleep for the past week so I'm off to bed!

Tyler's morning ritual is to perform a dance routine for us to his favorite song...
"I'm sexy and I know it".

Not sure why he wasn't looking happy for the picture.
I guess he didn't want to stop ridding to take a picture.

Another fun weekend for the VanSant boys. Saturday morning the boys had soccer followed by a birthday party at the trampoline warehouse. Afterwards we went with friends to the Poway winter festival where the kids got to try ice skating, sledding and playing in the snow. Pretty cool for them considering we live in sunny southern California where the high temp that day was 77°.
Sunday Jake and I went to the mx track. He's getting better every time we go. He was very proud he only had one crash.

To Ty's credit he never fell, he also never let go of Mommy

Happy New Year!
We celebrated the New Years with friends and neighbors at our house. Jake made it but Tyler tuckered out a little shy of midnight.

Jake and I went skiing Friday. It took him a couple runs to get used to it again but he was speeding down the hill in no time. The cord we clamp to his skis to keep the ski tips from spreading broke, but it turned out he didn't need it anymore and he even tried a few small jumps. I'm sure I'll regret encouraging this behavior one day.

Saturday the boys went to a friend's birthday party. Today Jake and I went back to the motocross track. I took him to the wrong track last time and this time he actually got to ride on the kid's track which is way more smooth and fun for him. He did great and we were the last ones to leave.

Jake is not to excited to head back to school tomorrow but he had a pretty fun Christmas break.

The boys have been wanting to sleep together lately. We let them on non-school nights. This night they both wanted to sleep in the small top bunk. I should also add on school nights that Tyler usually sneaks into Jakes room sometime during the night.
