Merry Christmas!

The boys had a great Christmas. Santa brought them a race track, R/C trucks and robots. Dungey had a great first Christmas, Santa brought him a KTM collar. We now have an 8 year old in the house. Jake's birthday was the day after Christmas. He got a brand new bike with gears and shocks. He is having his big party tomorrow at Pump-it-up with all his friends! But the best news is Jake got picked to race at Supercross with the KTM JR SX challenge. He'll get a full day of being treated like a professional rider and race three laps during the main event against 14 other riders from all over the country, Canada and Mexico. This is the first year they are doing it in San Diego and I'm happy he got picked for this one instead of St. Louis.

The boys are trying to be good this last week before Christmas, well Jake is anyway, Tyler just plans to roll the dice and hope he is cute enough to get by without actually being good. They got a letter from Clyde this week warning them they are in danger of going on the naughty list for not listening and doing what they are asked. I guess we'll see.

Kristin took the boys with friends to Christmas card lane to see all the houses decorated. We went to a neighbor's holiday party last night and today we went to a birthday party at the movies and saw the new Star Wars in 3-D. It was pretty cool!

The boys and Kristin are off this week. Jake has baseball camp for 3 days in the mornings. The boys are excited to see Grandma Gretchen when she flies in on Tuesday.

Our puppy Dungey has been awesome. He sleeps through the night and is doing well with the house training. The boys have been great helping take him outside and feeding him. He likes to eat Tabby's food so we'll have to figure out something there. Tabby is not a big fan but tolerates him as long as he doesn't get to close.

Jake had a baby tooth pulled this week to make room for a permanent tooth to come in. He did excellent and thought it was weird how his face was numbed. Jake did the last race of the series he has been doing this fall. He finished the day 1st in his class and 3rd in the open class. He'll finish the series with 1st in the 7-9 starter class and 2nd in the 7-9 open class. He has drastically improved from the first race to the last in this series. Definitely ready to move up to the next class in the spring series. Tyler helped Kristin make Christmas cookies today. He was the official taste tester!

Busy week for the boys. Started off with visit to the dentist. Jake has a baby tooth that's blocking the way for a permanent tooth, so it will have to be pulled later this week. Dungey the Dog is doing awesome. The boys absolutely love him and they've been having fun playing together. Jake got a character award at the school's Friday flag ceremony. The boys got to see Santa on Saturday and tell him what they want for Christmas. Jake has been pretty good, but presents might be sparse for Tyler under the tree at the rate he is going.
Jake had a race today at our local track. It started out a little rough for him. He had a crash in his first moto and bruised his knee, then we had a brake problem right before the first moto of the open class race. The second moto's where much better. He got the hole shot and finishing 1st in both. He finished the day overall with a 2nd place in one class and a 1st place in the other. They raffled off prizes after the race and he won the grand prize of a $450 carbon fiber helmet!

Happy Thanksgiving!
The boys had a great Thanksgiving break. We have switched gears and are getting ready for Christmas. We got our house decorated and our Christmas tree up. The boys helped me refinish a "Buddy Bench" our neighbors donated to their school.
We found a puppy to adopt. He needs to get checked out by the vet but we should be able to bring him home tomorrow or Tuesday. The boys decided on the name Dungey (after their favorite motocross racer Ryan Dungey).

Having fun with the Ceglie girls on their break from school

The boys don't appreciate Thanksgiving dinner as much as we do. They would be happy with chicken nuggets!
 Helping untangle the Christmas lights

Clyde the elf on the shelf is back from the North Pole ready to report back to Santa how "good" the boys are behaving.
