Merry Christmas
Santa actually came to our house this year. Jake even got the motorcycle he really wanted. Santa must have a soft spot for redheads. Tyler had a 12 hour flu earlier in the week, Jake had it Christmas Eve and now I am just getting over it. Hopefully Kristin doesn't get it or I don't know what we boys are going to do. Jake threw-up all through the night Christmas Eve, he woke up at 6:30 am, threw-up, rinsed his mouth and then said "let's go see if Santa came". After he saw his motorcycle he was miraculously all better. He still goes into the garage every 10 minutes to look at it.

Santa didn't eat all of the cookies the boys left for him so Tyler helped.

Jake turned 6 the day after Christmas. Hard to believe we have a 6 year old in the house. We had dinner at Red Robin for his birthday. I took him to the motocross track Saturday morning. He did awesome and rode till he couldn't hang on anymore.

Blowing out his birthday brownies he asked for.

Grandma Isakson heads back to Idaho tomorrow and we are sure going to miss her. Tonight Grandma made carrot cake and ice cream for Kristin's birthday which is tomorrow.

Very busy week and weekend. Tyler's pre-school Christmas program was on Tuesday evening. He and his little classmates were pretty cute. Jake's school program was Thursday morning and he did an awesome job as Prancer the reindeer.
We had Jake's birthday party Saturday since a lot of his little friends weren't going to be around the next couple weekends. He had a great party here at our house with about 15 kids. We rented the jumper again and had it for the whole weekend. It was in the backyard for the party but I set up it in the living room for Friday and Sunday. A few friends came over both days, so we definitely got our money's worth out of it.

We are all set for Christmas. Grandma Isakson flies in to San Diego tomorrow evening and we are excited to see her. Jake is starting to sweat a little wondering if he was good enough to get the dirt bike he wants. He's asked Clyde the elf a few times for "one more chance". I'll guess we'll see Wednesday morning!

Lilly, Charlotte and Presley came to watch Tyler's stellar performance.

Mommy made another great looking/tasting cake.

He's not too happy about a kiss from Presley now, we'll see how he feels about it in about 10 years.

The boys are getting exciting Christmas is coming, but it so hard to be good ALL the time. Clyde the elf left Jake a note warning him to shape up or Santa may only bring him socks and underwear this year. We took Presley and the boys to visit “Santa’s summer house” here in Poway, which is done by a couple that decorates their house to the extreme and opens it up to the public. They have a Santa to take pictures with, cookies, hot chocolate, a small gift for each child and its all free. It’s amazing to see.

On Friday evening Jake’s school had a dance so both boys went and busted a few of their signature dance moves. Saturday morning we had soccer then the Ceglie girls came over to make Christmas cookies. Tyler and I got to be the taste testers… not a bad gig if you can swing it. Today was beautiful so we had lunch at the park.

It's getting cold, well cold for San Diego. Kristin had another business trip last week and the boys and I held down the fort for a few days. Thankful for our good friends Maria and Alana for helping take Jake to school when Kristin is out of town.
Another busy weekend. It was rainy Saturday so we skipped soccer and I took the boys to the indoor trampoline warehouse to burn off some of their seemingly never ending supply of energy. Saturday evening we had friends over for dinner. Sunday we went to a birthday party and then Aunt Jen, who flew in from Maryland, stopped in to see us.

Clyde the elf has come back to stay with us until Christmas. The boys are trying to be good but jumping on the couch is so hard to resist sometimes. Hopefully Santa brings them more than coal and sticks. I've even had to "call" Santa once, who told me to pass on a warning to the boys to "be good and to listen to their parents." That is a neat trick that I'm hoping will work all year long!

Tyler and I stopped for milk and a cake-pop on his way to pre-school Friday.

Putting Jake to work cleaning my motorcycle.

Going riding.

Jake showing him how it's done with a flip... and yes Tyler tried to flip after he saw Jake do it.
