Jake's spent his last week of summer at a YMCA day camp. He got to play sports, games and go to the beach, but his favorite part was doing archery. He first day at his new school is tomorrow. He will have the same teacher he had over the summer and is really excited because "she was so nice to him". Friday night they had a backyard sleep over with their buddy Kyle. The boys wanted to play soccer this fall instead of baseball. Tyler started Saturday morning and he really had fun. Jake starts on a league in a couple of weeks. The boys went to their friend Ellie's birthday pool party Saturday, then we had friends over for my birthday that evening. Nice relaxing day today with my birthday dinner at Red Robin.

Tyler had a successful first week at kindergarten. What made it even more special is that Grandma Gretchen spent the week as the teacher's aid in his class. Jake had a two day race over the weekend. We made it into a fun camping trip with friends.

Awesome summer weekend. I am back from a short Florida business trip. I had off Friday so Kristin took off and we all went to the beach with Presley. We went to the dog beach on Coronado so we could bring Dungey. He has a little shy of the water at first but warmed up to it pretty quick and loved having all the other dogs there to play with. Of course the kids had a blast boogie boarding. Friday night was the class posting party at school. Our neighbor and good friend, Mrs. Pon, is going to be Tyler's kindergarten teacher starting this Tuesday. After that we went to an end of summer pool party at a friend's.

We were able to get Jake into the New Bridge private school here in Poway. Through Kristin's hard work and determination it looks like we will even get at least 2 years of tuition paid for which is beyond HUGE!! We love Garden Road Elementary but they are not staffed or trained to handle Jake's learning disability. Jake's starts school at the end of the month.

Saturday night we had friends and neighbors over and today the parents went on a school fund raiser boat trip out on San Diego Bay. Looking forward to Grandma Gretchen coming to visit tomorrow for a week. Tyler's teacher just had foot surgery so Grandma is volunteering to help her out for the first week.

They will be ready for college that is for sure!

Between the kids and the dog, a California King Bed is not big enough!!!

We all went to Jake's motocross awards ceremony at a water park on Saturday. He and Tyler had a blast swimming and going down the slides with his moto buddies. Jake finished the 8 race series 1st and  3rd in the classes he rides. Two more huge trophies to add to his trophy stand (I should have made it bigger!)

He had another race today. This was a big one. It's was on a big track and he even had a lost shade umbrella blow across the track into him! He had a few small slide outs but did very well all things considering. Tyler and Kristin had fun at home swimming and baking brownies.

Runaway shade umbrella. He ran it right over and kept on going!
