The boys have been busy with baseball/tee-ball. The weather has been great, warm enough we rode bikes to school on my Friday off. The boys went to a neighborhood friend's birthday party today. There was a piƱata and Jake was the one that busted it. I'm headed North to Point Mugu for work for a few days. Looking forward to Grandma Gretchen getting here this week and for our Disney trip the following week.

Motocross weekend! Jake had a race Saturday afternoon up in Perris. He did awesome! There is a step-up jump there he crashed on a few months ago and has been afraid to do again since. He got the courage up and did it this weekend. After he mastered that, he started doing this double that only a few kids on small bike's can do! It made a HUGE difference. The kid that he's battling with for the point lead won't do the double and in both moto's that kid got a better start than Jake. Jake could not get around him till they got to the double and then Jake sailed over it and was gone!
We had another race today at our local track. Both boys raced at this. Tyler did great. He is getting more confident. He was super proud to get his very first dirt bike trophy!

Happy Valentine's Day
Unfortunately all the VanSant boys, including me, have or are getting over colds. Pray Mommy doesn't get it or we are all in trouble! Last week the boys had their school fundraiser run. Jake ran an impressive 51 laps, which was his goal since his race number is 51. Tyler really surprised us with 32 laps. Ty is not much for aerobic activity. Friday night the boys where in a Varity show at school. Most acts are singing, dancing or playing an instrument. I made a video of Jake & Tyler on their dirt bikes which they played for the audience and when the video was over they raised the curtain to Jake and Tyler sitting on their dirt bikes on stage waiving to the crowd. The boys though it was pretty cool they got to bring their dirt bikes into school.
Supercross was back in San Diego on Saturday so we went down to walk around the pits. The boys got to meet Ryan Dungey again and he signed their Wheaties boxes. Jake even gave Ryan a picture of him he autographed. I image Ryan Dungey doesn't GET to many autographs. We saw Chris Alldredge again.  He was just sitting down from a qualifying run when he saw the boys and jumped up to came talk to them and sign their hats. They told Kristin that they don't want his signature to wash off so she can't wash their hats ever again. Sunday we had a Valentine's party with friends and neighbors. Kristin got a couple of heart shaped pizza's and then all kids decorated cookies.

This was not my doing! Tyler wanted to get his picture taken with every promo girl he saw!

Baseball season has started back up and we are going to be busy with both boys playing this year. Tyler started Tee ball and he plays for the A's. I've gotten used to working with kids that are Jake's age and forgot how "fun" it is to coach 4-5 year old Tee- Ballers, (it's like herding cats). They are pretty cute though, and I'm sure it will get better as the season goes along. Jake has moved up to minor B and plays for the Astro's. They are both doing practices now and games start the second week of March.

Jake is still playing soccer and Tyler is still in the Tee-Ball prep course that is separate from the A's so last Saturday at least one was playing something from 8am to 4:30. Luckily that is over in a couple weeks and we will be down to just baseball...and motorcross.
