Tough week, I lost a friend in a helicopter accident last week who was deployed. The only positive of this is our close friends from out of town are here for the funeral and are staying with us for a few days. We took Tyler to get his eyes checked which they had to dilate them for. He was pretty good through the whole thing and the good news is his eyes are good. Jake got a goal when the boys played soccer on Saturday. Not too much else to report, just glad the weather has cooled down some.



Tyler and I took Jake to school on Friday. Jake was so proud to introduce Tyler to all his classmates.

Each class at Jake's school has a university they represent on Fridays. Jake's class has the Naval Academy. Kristin coordinated with the Navy Exchange to donate T-shirts to the entire class.

Jake and Kristin went to Disney Land with the Ceglie girls over the weekend. They stayed at the Disney Land Resort and had a great time. Tyler and I stayed back but managed to have some fun ourselves. We had McDonalds at the park after school on Friday. Saturday we starred soccer again, Sunday we went to Hooters for lunch and to watch ... football... yeah to watch football. ; )

We had two birthday parties to go to this weekend. We went to Maddox's little sister Sofia's party on Saturday at the park by our old house. It was hot but the boys kept cool by splashing each other with water. Afterwards we went to a concert at the park by our house and then to our neighbor friends for a BBQ. Today we went to Christian's B-day party at a YMCA gymnasium. The boys had fun jumping on the trampolines and into the foam pit. Tyler was so wiped out, he fell asleep at 7 in his bean bag. He also might have been coming down from his 2 day sugar rush of cupcakes and birthday cake.

We had a great Labor Day weekend. We went to Red Robin to celebrated my birthday on Wednesday. Kristin arranged for some close friends to surprise me at home for cake & ice-cream afterwards. We had our new neighbor friends over Thursday evening while the mommies went to a PTA meeting. Jake had a great first week of school, he even got a special report for exhibiting good character.

Saturday we went to visit Jake's buddy Maddox at the pool at our old place, followed by a cul-de-sac party at the Ceglie's. Kristin and her friend Jamie took Jake to a Padre game today and then they went to a friend's house who just built a water slide into their pool. Fun weekend!
