We are all done with baseball and soccer for this season. I think all the boys and especially the parents are glad and ready to enjoy the summer. Jake and Tyler went in for their dental check-up. Tyler did NOT enjoy it as much as Jacob did, but both have healthy teeth. Jake really enjoyed being the star student for the week at school. He even got to share his motorcycle video with his class and everyone though it was really cool. Jake had his baseball team end of season party Friday evening. Each player gets a nickname on a ball and Jake's was "Tough Guy" for taking that one hopper to the head and kept playing. Jake had a race today. Even though we've never been at this track he still managed to get first place in his class. Mommy is traveling for work this week so the boys and I will be holding down the fort.

I went with Tyler on his pre-school field trip to the San Diego Zoo. The petting zoo was by far his favorite part of the day. Saturday we took Jayden and Ellie to the Home Depot kids workshop followed by some cake-pops and milk at Starbucks. Jake was selected for the “Star Student” this week. He got to bring the class mascot “Buster the Bear” home. Buster accompanied us on all our weekend outings, including riding dirt bikes. Jake had his final race for the series at Star West Sunday. In the series he finished 5^th overall in his class out of 20 kids, which is pretty good since he is only 7 in the 7 to 9 age class and that we only made it to 4 of the 8 races! Jake took Kristin on a date Friday night. He took her to dinner with the gift certificate he got with his character award and then he took her to the school dance. Sunday Tyler and I took a ride on the Poway train. Jake and Kristin went to little league day at Petco Park to watch the Padres play.

Jake got a good character award at school Friday assembly. We got our little pool set back up in the backyard so the boys have been enjoying that. We went to a Padres game today. It was cool for Jake to see professionals play baseball up close while he is playing little league. Surprisingly, Tyler was not a fan of crackerjacks!
