Jake had a blast visiting with his cousins in Idaho last week. He was definitely not ready to come home. Tyler started the first-grade last week and Jake starts fourth grade tomorrow.

Jake and Tyler's Idaho cousins, Cody and Conner, came down to visit us for a few days last week. We gave them a first-class tour of southern California.  First, they went to the world-famous San Diego Zoo, boogie boarding and surfing at the beach, and they got to see Jake race at the famous Glen Helen race track. Not to mention electric motorcycling around the neighborhood, rock climbing, trampoline park and no trip to California is complete without at least one meal at In-N-Out! Tomorrow Jake is flying back with his cousins to spend the last week of his summer vacation in Idaho.

This last weekend I borrowed my buddies toybox trailer and took the boys to Pala for two days of racing. My buddy is still in the Navy and is at sea on a deployment training cruise. His two boys, Nolan and Jarrett, are riding buddies with Jake & Tyler so they came along too. They all had a blast.

Sorry I missed on updating the blog for the past few weeks. I was on a work trip in Florida. It's good to be home and back with the family. The boys have been enjoying the end of summer. They finished up Karate and will start soccer soon. Jake is done with summer school. I was supposed to make it home for a weekend to break up my 3-week trip but things happened at work and I couldn't make it. Jake also had a race that weekend. It wouldn't have been a big deal if he missed it but Kristin wanted to take him. So, she loaded up the boys and Jake's bike in my truck up at 5:30 in the morning and took them to the race. She and Jake did an awesome job. Jake placed 3rd overall out of 23 kids in his class.
