Despite myself, Kristin and Tyler getting a mild case of COVID, we had an isolated but very merry Christmas. It wasn’t too bad since the boys were already home from school and it forced us to relax a bit and spend some quality time together. Jake moves closer to adulthood with getting his own phone, and Tyler got a virtual reality set. We also celebrated Jake’s 14^th birthday today. He got a new mountain bike.

Jake got straight A’s this semester. We are extremely proud of him!! He celebrated by picking dinner. Tyler had his holiday concert at school last week and he did very well. We went to a friend’s holiday party Saturday night and the boys got to use the hot tub. Jake had his last race of the year. He did awesome wining an overall for the day and both championships for the classes he raced for the series.

We are ready for Christmas here at the VanSant house. We got the house decorated, the tree up and the boys went to see Santa. Jake’s buddy Hunter was in town over the weekend and Jake spent the night at his house Saturday night. Jake had a race Sunday and did great. Tyler is doing really good with running.

We had a great thanksgiving camping at the desert with friends.

The boys are on Thanksgiving break. Saturday, we did some chores around the house including taking the recycling in. Saturday night was family movie night. Tyler met up with a buddy for lunch on Sunday while Jake had a race. It started off great with him winning his first moto, second moto he got tangled with another rider on the start and rang his bell pretty good. We took him in to get a CT scan and thankfully everything checked out good. Not a dull moment in the VanSant household.
