We had a great time out in the desert this past weekend. We camped in a pretty open spot, so we let the kids practice driving the vehicles around. Happy to report no crashes.

Jake and I met some friends out east Saturday to do some trail riding. Tyler and Kristin hung out together and went out to lunch. Sunday, we just relaxed and the boys played with neighborhood friends. Sunday evening, we went to a local brewery/restaurant to watch a friend in the neighborhood band play. They asked Tyler to play with them for a song and he was a hit.

It’s been a sad couple weeks. My dad succumbed to cancer last week. He will be greatly missed, but the boys and I have lots of great memories of him. Thanks so much to our good friends the Ames who let the boys stay with them while Kristin and I went back to Maryland. The boys had a great time with them. I got back home in time to take Jake to a local race. It was a mudder but he did great. Spent today just catching up on some work around the house and the boys helped weed.
