It was a nice weekend so Saturday we took the boys on a bike ride through Balboa Park and stopped for lunch on Saturday. Jake raced on Sunday and Tyler went go-carting for a friend's birthday.

The boys had their school spring break last week. Kristin took off a day and took them to the newly reopened trampoline park and to lunch. Over the weekend we met some friends out in the mountains out east for some camping and riding.  

Took the boys to mini night at a track up in Riverside on Thursday. Jake had a race there today, so it was nice for him to get some practice in and Tyler some riding time. We got a UTV for Kristin to drive when we go to the desert and Tyler helped me change the wheels on it Friday night. He has really taken an interest in learning mechanical things lately. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up. The boys deposited their piggy banks into their bank accounts Saturday. Tyler told the bank teller he was saving for his education and Jake said he was saving for a truck (so he can put his motorcycle in it). Tyler went to a friend’s foam birthday party then both boys helped me with a little yard work. Jake raced today. Despite a couple good crashes during practice and the first moto, he rallied back to take 2^nd overall in one of his classes.

Another Easter in the books. Spent the day with friends in the neighborhood. The day before Jake and I went mountain biking at an awesome trail in the mountains out east.
