Tyler is getting more comfortable riding the little electric motorcycle. Friday we went to a big soccer field close to our house for him to practice. He was doing great until Jake heard the ice cream truck and drove the big electric bike right in Tyler's path and Ty clipped Jake's back wheel. Jake just fell over but Ty went flying. Luckily he was all padded up and didn't hurt anything.

This morning Jake had a T-ball game and then we all flew a plane up to French Valley airport to grab some lunch. The Conte's came over for dinner tonight and the boys rode their bikes.

I head to Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland early tomorrow morning for work and unfortunately I'll be gone for a couple weeks.

Fun weekend. I had off Friday, Kristin and the boys played hooky from work/school and we all went skiing up north at Bear Mountain. It was Tyler's first time (he is 3 mind you) and he did awesome. I got a little harness so I could control him but he was standing up mostly on his own. I dropped the leads one time to see how he would do and he took off on me. I barely was able to catch him before he skied into a tree. Jake was great as usual and looks like he has been doing it for years even though this is only his 3rd time on skies.

Saturday morning Jake had a T-ball game and then we went swimming over at the Conte's. Got to love southern California... skiing one day... swimming outside in high 80 degree weather the next.

Jake was supposed to have another motocross race Sunday at Pala but their water pump broke and the race was canceled. We went to nearby Barona in the morning to both get a few laps in. The boys and Kristin went to a neighbor's house to go swimming this afternoon. As their cousin Cody would say, Jake and Tyler had a "snack" weekend!

Jake had his first official T-ball game Wednesday. They don't keep score in T-ball but I'd say the Indians would have won that one but more importantly all the boys had fun and looked pretty smart in their uniforms. Went to a cul-de-sac party over at the Ceglies Friday evening. Little league opening day was Saturday morning. The Indians had a bye Saturday but they got to represent their team in the opening ceremonies and got the team pictures taken. Saturday night we went to a party at our neighbor's house. Sunday Jake did his 2nd motocross race and came in 3rd place. We definitely have a motorcycle crazed little boy on our hands. I think we are even getting Mommy into it!

 

Rainy weekend here in southern California. T-ball opening day was supposed to be Saturday but because of the rain got moved to next weekend. Tried to meet some friends for bowling Saturday, but I guess everyone else decided bowling on a rainy day was a good idea too, so we just had lunch together instead. 

Thought Jake's first motorcycle race was going the get canceled too but it ended up happening, even after a few showers keep us waiting in the truck for part of the day. Luckily I brought more riding clothes because Jake went down in a huge puddle during practice and soaked himself. He did pretty well for his first race. Didn't quite make the podium but he had fun and even got a trophy with a motorcycle on it, which he thinks is awesome! (Even wanted to sleep with it) He has another race next Sunday so hopefully it stays dry for that one.
