Jake had a race Friday evening. He got third out of 11 overall, which is awesome considering he has one of the smallest bikes out there. It doesn't have a lot of torque to get him out in front on the start. The first turn in about 160 degrees and he slows down as all the other kids go into the turn so he is dead last going into the first lap. To his credit though, he battled his way all the way up from last to fourth and third on his two moto's. That is pretty incredible to be able to move up like that past older kids on bigger bikes.
We had a great weekend. Saturday morning we did the Home Depot kids workshop and the boys went to birthday parties. Kristin had a spa afternoon with her friends so Maddox and his Dad came over and hung out with us. Today we had the Ceglies over for a Mother's Day BBQ. Matt and I prepared everything so Maria and Kristin could enjoy the day.
